The Department of Defense's employment assistance program for milarary spouses of active duty service members is committed to helping milatary spouses by providing up to $6000 of Financial Assistance for education, training, and license leading to employment in Portable Career Fields.  It is a proven fact that the more training and education job seekers have, the more likely they are to get better jobs at higher salaries.

Who is eligible:  Spouses of Active Duty members in all branches of military, activated members of National Guard and Reserve Components, Spouses of the severly injured, ill, wounded, killed in action (KIA), prisoners of war (POW), or missing in action (MIA).  Not eligible  are spouses who are legally seperated by state law or court order, spouses who are also Active Duty members or Activated Guard members themselves.

MyCAA does not pay for computers, school application fees, graduation or membership fees, student activity cards, child care, parking, transportation, or medical services.

Payments are made directly to schools using MyCAA's electronic payment system.

The MyCAA School Invitation Package includes all the detailed information and step-by-step instructions, and can be accessed by going to the MyCAA website: (https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa/default.aspx) to establish an account.
